The Cobbles Collective

Tucked away in the heart of Ogmore-by-Sea, The Cobbles Collective is the kind of place that makes you want to slow down, sip something warm, and forget about time for a while. Located at Tymaen Farm Buildings, this women-owned gem has quickly become a go-to lunch spot for locals and solo diners who crave something a bit more soulful than your average café experience.

One of the first things that hits you at The Cobbles Collective-besides the delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee-is the atmosphere. Rustic yet modern, the space comes alive with cozy nooks, a glowing fireplace, and a vibe that feels like you’ve just stepped into your cool friend’s countryside retreat. Whether you’re catching up with friends on the outdoor patio or finding a corner to read solo, the ambiance feels effortlessly comforting.

Coffee lovers will be right at home here. The baristas know their craft and it shows-from rich espresso shots to beautifully frothed cappuccinos, each cup feels intentional. Tea drinkers aren’t left out either, with a curated selection that includes everything from classic Earl Grey to herbal blends that taste like they were plucked fresh from a garden. It’s the kind of place where the drinks are as much a draw as the food.

Speaking of food, The Cobbles Collective leans into honest, feel-good dishes made from quality ingredients. Expect fresh sandwiches, hearty soups, and seasonal specials that cater to vegetarians without compromising flavor. Everything feels homemade in the best way-comforting, full of character, and never rushed. The kitchen doesn’t try too hard, which is refreshing in an age where over-styled plates sometimes overshadow taste.

Live music is another treat. It’s not every day you find a spot where you can enjoy your lunch while local talent strums a guitar or sings a few mellow tunes. It adds a heartbeat to the space-something that turns a simple lunch outing into a mini escape.

Though the restaurant offers a charming dine-in experience, they also make it easy to enjoy their offerings at home. With takeaway and delivery options available, even a rainy day doesn’t stand between you and your Cobbles Collective fix. And for those looking to soak up the sun, the outdoor seating is a quiet haven, especially on those rare warm Welsh afternoons.

While the venue doesn't have full accessibility-there's no wheelchair-accessible entrance or seating-the car park is accommodating. It's something to be aware of if you're planning a visit with specific accessibility needs. But for those who can navigate the space, the warmth of the staff and the carefully curated vibe more than make up for the structural limitations.

From the first sip of coffee to the last note of a live acoustic set, The Cobbles Collective knows how to create moments that linger. It’s not flashy, and it doesn’t need to be. This is a place where quality, community, and quiet charm come together-no filters required.

Went to our friends daughters wedding here today. Very quaint location very well laid out. There is a bar for drinks, and we enjoyed the quirky choice of food, fish n chips from the shop on site. Being close to Ogmore Beach, it seemed very fitting real chips, not frozen style that some shops supply. A great evening enjoyed with, many good friends. Very beautiful place. Well worth a look

Fab menu! Plenty of choice and as they’re all made fresh you can remove any items you don’t like.It was our first visit (after fancying it for years!) we finally visited & wasn’t disappointed. We were a little worried that wouldn’t live up to the hype but I’m already planning my next visit. There’s a slight wait but as they’re made fresh that’s expected. You place your order & pay then have a buzzer while you wait for it to be made.We had the Texas BBQ & steak & cheddar, both were delicious! They have a few children’s options on the menu too which is great!Parking: A fair amount of parking but imagine it can get busy at lunch time on the weekend.Kid-friendliness: There’s a range of children’s sandwich’s available too, the main menu sandwiches are far to big for little ones

The best sandwich ever. Full of good quality delicious ingredients. Excellent amounts of filling combined with soft bread. Perfection. We went at peak times, so there was a queue before entering the take away. Fortunately they have pagers so you can wait outside in the courtyard while you meal is prepared. Well worth a trip even if it means going out of your way. Highly recommended.
